King
George
V
signed
a
Royal

establishing
the

The
first

August
1862),
who
took
the
Corps
to
France
in
1914.
An
exhibition
to
mark
the
Centenary
was
opened
at
the
Farnborough
Air
Sciences
Trust
(FAST)
Exhibition
on
12th
April
2012.
We
were
privileged
to
be
invited
to
the
opening
and
were
delighted
to
see
that
the
exhibition
includes
pictures
of
my
Grandfather,
Great
Uncle
and
my
wife,
Annabel's
Grandfather,
who
served
in
WWI
with
the
RFC
which
combined
with
the
Royal
Naval
Air
Service
(RNAS)
to
become
the
Royal
Air
Force
(RAF)
in
1918,
in
which
my
parents
were
later
to
serve.
